Hi Guys,
This is my first post and my first Infinity. I just purchased a 2003 M45 but the previous owner destroyed the front seats and climate switches when the car was repossessed. I am not tasked to fix all the interior damage. I am not having any luck finding Ecru seats for the 2003-2004 M45 on-line or in the local salvage yards.
I was wondering if different year cars had similar seats that would interchange (IE color and mounting dimensions). The exterior of the car is so nice but the interior is an eye sore. Any help for my eye sore in Houston or suggestions would be helpful, thanks

Very nice. Welcome to NICO!

I don't have the answer unfortunately, but I hope some one with knowledge and experience can chime in. You might try looking in the Full Service Manual (link is in my sig) to see if there is any measurements there ...

OP, are you able to post any pictures? We might be able to come up with other solutions after seeing what you have going on.

My best guess is that Ecru is that sort of tan color, correct?

In terms of similarity, the only other car that had climate control switches in the same location were some F50 q45s. Very rare to find a q45 with cooled seats btw. The shape was different, and I believe the cushion size as well.
The g35 and some FX models had switches in that location for different controls, but if the mounting base is the same, then maybe some wiring can be done to fit. I mention the g35 and maybe 350z seat because those are smaller cars. The y34 m45 was classified as a midsized car and yeah, it is a little tight in there. Maybe the seats are not that different in different size classes but I can't prove that yet.

What you could do is give us the dimensions of the seat bracket mounting holes (how far apart lengthwise/widthwise), as well as the width of the cushion and then we can compare.

Sorry Tan. Let me remove the seats and see how much damage there truly is. I know both switch bezels and seat cushions are shot (and the drivers seat needs to be welded). But I may be able to salvage the rest of the seat(s) and have a shop to repair the seat bottoms. The climate control switches can be sourced so let me inventory what is good and bad. Thanks for the help. Was looking for a simple bolt in fix but if they are rare I may "rebuild/repair" the seats. Welcome to Y34 ownership.

I'll post the dimensions when I remove the seats and some pictures. I sure I'm not the only one with seat quality issues.
