M45 rear brake disk

putting on drilled and slotted brake disk on a 2003 M45, front ones are on and look and work great, but i cant get the rear disk off the car, these have the emergency brake inside of the disk, i have loosed those drum brakes thru the access hole provided, but beating and prying wont get the disk off the car to be replaced........ is there a trick to this, thanks for any help........
