M45 Performance Chip

My 03 m45 is an absolute screamer, but I have heard there are many advantages to getting a performance chip. I wanted to get all of your opinions on getting a JET PERF CHIP. These go for close to 400 bucks, but should improve everything rom gas mileage to power. Is it worth the money? Any one have one of these?

The new light duty 4.5 is pretty stretched as it is, having already been pushed up from the previous 278 HP and 292 lb/ft of the 90-96 version.

US ultra premium gasoline being the weak sauce it is, unlikely to gain much without custom racing gasoline [octane - BTU/per gallon].

Modern OBD2 already auto advances the ignition until it knocks then backs off again , etc to get near optimum............there might be a degree or 2 of safety left?

Never believe even published dyno graphs, as it reuires 10 lb/ft to reduce quarter mile time by even 0.1 seconds on a perfect day.

Based on historical data don't expect too much from your $400, as it usually cost $1000 per 0.1 second improvement.
