Hello, I am new here

I own a 2008 m45 for two years now. I currently have 75K miles total.

Can you please help with some questions below:

1. When should I get tune up? I bought at 44K miles two years ago and only changed the oil the last two years. Do I need a tune up?

2. Sometimes when I start the car, it does start but instantly acting like it wants to turn off and then go back to running. This happens sometimes not each time. The mechanic said maybe some valve is getting stuck when allowing gas to go through. I am not sure what he was talking about.

Other than that, the car runs fine.

Major service at or around 60/75 k miles should include cooling system flush, rear differential, belts and transmission service!! Some Gabe opted to do spark plugs at around 75k!!! Along with other basic stuff in the service schedule that really don't mean anything to the driveability of the car itself...ie in cabin filters, Air filters, (however replace if needed), seat filters, wipers, etc.etc. Do a check up of your battery if you have not changed it since new (could be possible it's the original) :gotme I recommend dealer do it, it's affordable and annoying to do to say the least!!! Cold weather will make these batteries act up and weak batteries make these cars with so much electronics act up!! Good luck!! :bigthumb:
