Finally somebody dragged their M45 in the S. Florida heat running a [email protected].

I know the mag articles all tested the car in the low 14's high 13's but that had to be with much cooler temps as the articles were all published this Spring. Heat kills speed........I run a bull 0.35 secs different in the 1/4 mile here in S. Florida when temp is high 80's at night versus the high 60's.

Crappy launch + heat.

I still say mag times are accurate, I don't care if some jagoff at the track doesn't know how to run his car.

Ive always got the mag published times with all my cars.

Just requires a bit of skill and the right weather

ya need to read further into the timeslip. 60' = 2.18 which is pretty damn good for a large sedan so launch is not a problem. The car is slower than I would have thought in the last 1/8th of the mile... 5.13 secs or accelerating at 4.03 miles per sec basically a 76~96mph sprint. My car as a comparison on my July slower heat related 14.618 1/4 timeslip from last year does the last 1/8th in 5.04 secs or accelerating at 4.01 miles per sec basically a 77~97mph sprint. The only real difference in the last 1/8th mile performance based on the above comparison is that my car is illegally fast

btw....what is your 1/4 ET on your 350Z???

Ive only gteched it. I dont want to wait in lines to run it in the heat.

When the winter comes around I think ill run it just cause.

I still believe mags are relatively accurate. Hell you have the other side of the coin. some publications uses NHRA drag racers who speed shift. I remember they were pullint high 12s with Camaros..

So maybe they are accurate sometimes and not other times, but it could be both ways.

Still they are using actual test equipment

Also it wouldn't surprise me if your Q was at least as fast if not faster.

We already know based on your timeslip that the two are nearly identical.

The weight is basically the same. The M45 has better gearing and stable powerband, you have probably more hp and performance geared toward top end.

I'd like to see you drag one bad.

Your Q is still and will probably always be the right way to go about performance on the Q.
