M45 exhaust modification question

I have an '06 M45 and would like to replace the stock, two-int-one-into-two exhaust with true duals with an H pipe.

Has anyone tried this?

I've heard a couple people say that the reduced back pressure could possibly make the O2 sensors think the fuel ratio was too lean and then dump more fuel in, which in turn could burn out the cats. I would be interested to hear any experience anyone could share regarding exhaust mods on a late model M45.
