Hey, a friend of mine found a dvd of an M45 commercial I guess. It shows an M in a drag race with a couple of other cars. It is pretty lame, but none-the-less it shows what makes the M such a desirable car. Has anyone else seen this? I would upload it and have it hosted, but I don't have a computer that plays DVD's.

The Muscle Car video?

I think Jason posted this about a year or so ago. It's an entertaining vid. I have it saved locally and just watch it with RealPlayer or something. Now where did I put that ......

Lame???

Wash your mouth with soap!;)

I LOVE that video , it rocks, especially with the music turned up.

It's also kinda neat just to listen to the music at the end.The first time I saw it I watched it about 8 times..

I got mine in the mail from Infiniti, as well. Maybe in 10 years, I will sell it on eBay for $50.00.....

Born-Again Muscle Car Video

It's a downloadable version of the hi-res MediaPlayer clip on Infiniti's site. 27 MB for 6min 38sec. Watched it full screen at 1600x1200 and the quality is still good.

It almost makes me want to trade in my G for an M.

If you look at the dimensions of the M and G sedan closely, you will see remarkable similarities. IMO, the M is thus just a G with a V-8! :D

But only available with auto tranny.

This keeps the M45 from outperformning the ( stick ) G35 by much.

best number I saw for M45 was 0-60 in 5.7 sec and the quarter in 14.3.

Good numbers to be sure but close to what the stick G35 does stock.

On the other hand, an M45 has so many fetaures and is so fast with the auto...And now costs about what a loaded G goes for.

G35 6MT Sedan is slightly faster than an M45, but the M45 does it with ease. G35 is definitely the sharper handler, and has slightly more legroom in back.

The 6MT can usually do high 5 secs to 60 and low to mid 14's in the quarter.

The 5A G does 6.1 0-60 to mid/high 14's in quarter.

M45 and G are not too diferrent inperformance.

I think of the M45 as a G, with a bigger body+more features and a bigger engine to make it perform a as well as the G.

It was the 2003 M45. Infiniti released that DVD (it is awesome!) when they released that model year. Sent it out in the mail to a bunch of people, including many registered older Q45 owners (like me! Yay!)
