m45 2003/2004

i am looking for a 03 or 04 m45 is one better than the other? i also read that there are some oil consumption issues with the 4.5 v8 in those years any feedback?

04 moved the cd changer to where the tape player is. Other then that they are the same.

Very few had the oil consumption problem due to the car not being broken in properly.

Welcome to NICO!

An estimated 10% to 15% of these cars (may be less in the 2004) have an oil consumption problem. As mentioned in the previous post, this usually occurs if the engine is not broken in properly. Check the service records to be certain!

Back to your original question, my car showed no signs of oil consumption when I bought it, but it went down hill quickly. Make sure you talk to the previous owner and see if they noticed any oil consumption or better yet get an extended powertrain warranty.
