Does anybody know of any plans to release a lowering kit for the 2011 Infiniti m37x? How long does it usually take the manufacturers to release springs for new models? I would suspect that Eibach would eventually have something. Does the AWD cause a delay? Thank!

Typically there is indeed a delay in production of lowering springs. However the most recent recession killed many companies R & D budgets, and they are still demand driven.

AWD Infinitis are not top priority to spring companies, as the M35x only had 1 set of springs after 4.5 years since it came out.

If you find springs for a Sport they most likely will not work properly on your car.

I have finally found lowering springs made specifically for the m37x! I found these through http://www.burtmanindustries.com. They arent listed, but he looked into it for me. They are from a big tuning company in Japan. A bit pricy after shipping, but I would rather go with something that has been designed for this car. I am going to try them out and I'll post how they look and feel.

Just put on the springs. It rides great. I wish it was a bit lower, but its the only spring set available for the AWD. 22" Vossen CV1 coming next week. Here are some pics:

While it could go lower, it actually does look like a big difference. I never realized just how high the M37x sat  Hopefully your springs will settle just a bit more as well and bring you down a tad lower.

Looking good :)

That's looking great. What is involved with install? Did you do the work? Also, do you know if the same kit works on the M56x?

When they arrived, the sticker read Nissan Y51 4WD, with no mention of engine. You should call Jason at Burtman Industries and he can double check for you. He's pretty quick and accurate with this stuff. I got my springs in exactly 2 weeks after ordering. 717-469-4130.

The installation was done by a place called International Automotive and Customs in Toronto. It's not something that you can install alone. It cost $400. The dealership can do it as well, but they want around $1000 for the same job.

I can't confirm for the new models (M37/M56), but the previous aftermarket springs for the M35 and M45 were not interchangeable between the two models because the M35 and the M45 have different spring rates. I think I've seen someone the NICO forums install the M35 Tein springs on their M45, though. I wish there was more definite documentation on these things..

That is correct. I, along with a few others have Tein H-Tech springs (which are said to be for the 35) on my 45 Sport

I always thought the M sat about 3-4 inches too high, that Lowering Kit brought it down just enough

Almost a year to the day since you posted, not sure if you return to read but if you don't mind a couple questions.
Any issues with warranty, did you get it done a the dealer.
How has it affected the ride.
I would love apply the same system on my ride but couldn't find the kit on the link you posted. I'll contact the Jason for further details.

Thanks.

Thanks.
I spoke to the dealer before I did it and they said it would effect the warranty. I haven't had any suspension problems, but the dealers may try to blame it on the springs if something did happen. I got it installed by a shop that does a lot of high-end customs. The dealer would have put them on, but they wanted like $1000.

The ride has got a bit harsher but not as bad as people got me prepared for. I also put 22's on around the same time, so that also takes away a bit from the ride.

I dont really have any regret after putting the new springs. Especially when I drive next to the stock version of my car. Check out everything I've done to it and some better pictures. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3937053/2 ... iti-m-m37x

I forgot to mention that since I took those pictures the car has settled a bit lower. My cardomain pictures show that.

Hey OrenA. How did you remove the rear strut assembly to install the rear springs?

Keep in mind the thread is a year old and the OP might not look on this thread anymore. It might be best to PM him since he's still active on the forums.

What were the springs used and how much are they?

BTW, this is how the car looked 3 years after installing the springs. It settled a bit. My lease ended last month, so the car is gone. I have the black painted OEM lights and the rims/tires if anyone is interested.

Hi, welcome to the forum.

But, dude, this post is from 2011-late 2014...please don't bump crazy old threads unless it's pertinent to the discussion (such as regarding M37x lowering springs). It will help keep our forum clean and organized. Please PM the user regarding the tail lights. Thank you.

Members, Please post pics and which springs you're using. Also, Has anyone had a bad experience with the Eibach prosport RWD version used on the AWD m37x with original struts ?
