Summer tires are only good down to between 40-50F. If you run them for prolonged periods of time, the sidewall is prone cracking, with possible blowout below subfreezing (32F) temperatures. If you have a second vehicle, I would suggest a UHP All-season or a dedicated summer tire. I'm not a fan of all-season tires myself, so I would lean towards the most "summery" tire I could find, especially if I have a second vehicle.
I personally don't care for Hankook Ventus V12s. On both my G (when I had it) and my wife's 328i, which we have, they tend to lose grip on wet pavement. The price is right, but they leave a lot to be desired.
