My radio/NAv display/screen just started shutting off and rebooting on its own. It does it every 5 or so minutes while driving and while idling.
Anyone have any tips? So far I confirmed this:
1. Diagnostic menu shows screen/nav is working properly, no faults
2. Restarting the car didn't help

Found a bunch of posts on same issue in the Rogue forums but nothing in ours.

Do you have a scanner to hook up to the OBD II port? It should show you a malfunction related to audio if it's losing power.

There is a known problems with the Nav rebooting when you have a subscription to XM with Traffic. There is a software patch. Something as complex as the Nav systems, is going to require a trip to the dealer.

UPDATE: Went to the dealer and was told that they had a large volume of calls with the same issue which (according to Nissan/Infiniti) is a direct result of the storm Florence. Say what?????
I was told that something in the NAV makes it reboot due to the network down from the storm.....I will give them a benefit of a doubt and wait a week hoping for the issue to go away, but seems to me like I will be back with the problem still present.

I have to say the service tech may have not been full of crap. So far the shutdown issue hasn't repeated. I pulled one code; U1000 communication error, which would make sense I light of what the dealer was saying about the "network". We shall see.

this is what I was told by the tech. Sounds strange, but now that it cleared up I have yet to experience the shutdown/reboot. What he (I think) was telling me is that the storm affected the NAV network (whatever that means) which in turn caused the unit in my car to restart itself periodically... :gotme
