What high flow cats fit the M37.

I called useless stillen:
They never made a set for the m37
They never tested the g37 or 370z models they sell.
So what do us M37 owners do?
Besides the tunerstore test pipes for 540 bucks?
Any help would be appreciated....
My car is not loud enough lol
R2c intake and complete stillen exhaust.

Call Fast Intentions they may be willing to work with someone out in CA to develop something. You could also get anything that would fit a G37 and have a shop fit it to your car. I can't imagine it would be difficult for any competent shop to so it.

Stillen is useless.

Stillen is perfect for people who want a little more noise but not to be heard from 20 blocks away...don't get why people keep bashing Stillen's exhaust. Bash the price, sure, but it does it's job.

You can order the Invidia HFCs for a 370Z/G37 on eBay, that's where I ordered my Invidia test pipes from. Fit perfectly, even with my AWD

So if the ones you bought are for a 370z.then the stillen 370 HFC will fit a m37. :woot:

Would high flow cats on stock exhaust/muffler be any louder? Would it be worth it?

Yes it would make some noise.OEM cats are the biggest restrictors in any exhaust system

I see these have the bungs for the O2 sensors but they say 'cat delete'...so will these trigger a CEL or not?

Tunerzstore sells both. HFC and test pipes by Invidia but for some reason the pics they use are kindnof incorrect. It shows the pic of one of each instead of pairs

So an HFC is fully legal and will not cause failed inspections, etc. but test pipes will?

HFC = High Flow Cats (catalytic converters). Any reputable brand name should meet emissions testing. Getting into the off-brand/no-brand HFCs are where it gets dicey. Plus you can't be sure of any quality control done on said brands.

Test pipes remove catalytic converters altogether. There there was once a cat, it is now replaced by just plain ol' piping. It will not pass emissions testing. You will also get a gasoline-like odor in the cabin. they are cheaper than HFCs but the obvious drawbacks are being environmentally irresponsible and the odor.

I might get a used set of HFC stillen model from a 370.but I called stillen and they say it might throw codes.its not 100% that. It won't throw a cell.think I'm going to still buy them cuz of the price.300 shipped. Instead of 570....car is getting boring to drive.need some more tone.I get bored of cars quick.

How about these? They seem to be the best price for a new set.

I don't know why people bash the Stillen exhaust either. I just had it installed on my M56 2 weeks ago and I love it. I drove to Ottawa and then Nova Scotia and the exhaust sounds fantastic. I've put about 3K miles on the car in that time so I think the exhaust has had enough time to fully settle in. I think most people who bash it are listening to the exhaust at idle, or when someone revs it in park, or by having it recorded by a cheap mic while driving by. If you use any of these methods you probably will not be impressed. You have to hear it in person. I had my girlfriend drive off while I was behind the car and it sounded totally amazing. While I was inside the car driving, I could barely notice the sound. I think this is how it should be.

So these are street legal and will pass emissions tests? In the area I'm in, this is a must.

yeah, High FLow Cats improve performance of the car, better flow since you will have less restriction and will also make the car a lil louder. 100% street legal and nice performance gain. you won't pop a light with them.

a test pipe gives you even more performance but the car gets even louder, those are for track use and not street

There are ways to have a test pipe with no code in the car. Sensor Sims, spacers... but i wouldn't recomend running a test pipe on the streets. You still won't pass emissions and your car will give out more toxic gases into the air

The ones listed under m37 on the tuner store. Are the exact part number as the g37 and 370z on other sites.so any brand ,Berk, stillen, kinetix for g37,370z will fit the m37...I'm on the hunt for a good used pair.no way I'm paying 580 for a set.

I havent had secondary cats on my M45 for a while now and there isnt any exhaust smell in the cabin like another member posted. As long as your exhaust doesnt have leakes it should have any smell in the cabin. As for HFC or test pipes, if you dont need emission testing that req a sniffer id just get a custom 2.5' y pipe or full custom exhaust done for the price. If you do need emissions testing though then stick with HFC like others have stated.

I personally would like to see what it sounds like before I would install one, a video clip with the high flow cats on or with the Y pipes custom made. And what I really would.like is a cold air intake for the M56S
