So I have my 2011 M37 for about 3 months now and its been to the dealer once to be looked at and they said the Bluetooth is fine?
I have a Samsung Galaxy5 and whenever I stream music from my phones memory or stream youtube/internet sites it seems to sometimes stop playing for a second then play again, and some days it worse then others? Weird! anyone else have this issue?

Mine has a hiccup about once every 10 days or so. Weird delays. Digitized stuttering. Sounds stops but song clock continues to count and work normally. Maybe others. Once or twice I have been able to cycle the BT on/off on the phone an get it to start working again. Other times I have had to restart the car.

I almost exclusively use Pandora and have a iPhone 6 just for reference.

Also 2011 M37.... I will play spotify stored music through BT from an old iPhone4s... Every once in a while... (Probably a couple times a week) The music will cut out for 10 seconds or so and then will reconnect and start again where it left off. No idea what the deal is...

I think we may need to identify whether it is a network issue, or an actual BT issue. For example, when I was on Sprint, I pretty much gave up on streaming. Is it possible the cut outs users are experiencing could be on the data end, and not the BT connection?

Right SmoovC point taken on the steaming of music over the 4G connections could be the service providers network Sprint sucks, but when i use my internal music from my phone connected via Bluetooth (no NOT using wifi) it still hiccups and stops and starts drive me me nuts!

Pandora will tell you right on the screen if it is having issues with data rates. Also when I shut off the BT on the phone the music will play from its speaker w/o issue. I have also switched to internally stored music while troubleshooting the behaviour. Once some one of the issues have occurred it will affect any audio over the BT.

I used to stream music through stored music on my phone's memory and would experience hiccups almost each time I drove the car. It got to a point that I just put music my the Navi hard drive. I'm quite disappointed with the BT performance considering I have an Alpine head unit that streams perfectly. The timer (for the track) works 100% accurately whereas with the M, sometimes the timer reads 0:00 the entire time.
