I would like to upgrade the front brake rotors and calipers. Could anyone please help me point to the right direction with site links. I am thinking of buying Stoptech drilled rotors and Akebono calipers. Question ;
1.Are the brake rotors same for a base and a sports model?
2. Does Akebono calipers help over dual piston factory one?
3. Do I have to buy a sports model brake pads? I prefer dealer one.
4. What else is required for this upgrade?

Thanks a lot

I'm about to have my 4th set of BrakeMotive drilled-slotted rotors / pads installed by my dealer. They outperform OEM, produce less dust, and I can get all 4 corners done for less than a dealer brake job on just one axle. Lots of members swear by them.

I did a little research, found out that for a base model you will need to upgrade the rotors to a 355mm , one from sports model to go with Akebono calipers. The base model M37 comes with 320 mm rotor size. I am not sure if anyone of you are running Akebonos' on a base model with a 320mm rotors. I think, I will just pass on this and use Stoptech drilled and slotted rotors with probably OEM pads. Thanks for all you all help
