Hey guys The Retrofit Source is running a promotion for the Morimoto LED foglight systems that is a plug and play kit for our Y51 M's. $100 shipped until the end of the week. You essentially swap your whole foglight assembly with this kit. Bulb temp is 5500k and for an extra $10 they'll include LaminX's yellow overlay.

The coupon code is "InfinitiXBGB" and that will take $70 off instantly.

I'd get them if they had a 3000k bulb temp. I don't want overlays that make the fogs permanently yellow even when off.

I completely agree but unfortunately this fog light system is sealed, hence why they offer the yellow overlays.

I wonder how much different the beam pattern is and how much brighter is it compare to the plug and play kits.
I currently have the Phillips LED kit on mine @ 3000k. I replaced a pair of Optilux 3000k bulbs and while I did notice a difference in light output it was not as dramatic as I thought it would be.

Bumping this up as I need to, yet again, tackle my fog lights.

PIAA Plasma Ion Yellow Halogen 3000k bulbs lasted 1 year before one failed. iJDMToy 40W LED bulbs, one failed within two weeks. I'm sick and tired of doing all the work necessary to get to the bulbs. I like the yellow look, but at this point I'm willing to spend the $170 and just get a sealed 5500k unit and call it a day.

So, my question: we need the round version of these? All of the mounting holes, etc. line up? Harness connects no problem? or will I need to do other splicing, etc.?

Thanks!

EDIT: NVM, looks like it's a direct replacement. I didn't scroll far enough down. Going to pick up a set.

I had HID's in my Y50 fogs...the high-end Morimoto stuff from TRS. Still had occasional flickering and failures in the 5 years I had that car. That's why I tried halogen and LED bulb this time.

Hey, where did you get the neo tint yellow overlay and that underbumber lip in your picture?
I just purchased 2013 m37x S. Thank for your help in advance.
