Hi. My 2011 M37 cools OK except on hot days after sitting in direct sun here on Maui, in which case I usually get to my destination (a few miles) before things cool off. However, this past week I rented a Nissan Altima and I noticed the highest blower setting on that is much more powerful than my M37. Also, my wife's g37 Vert has noticeable higher blower air when set to maximum. I can't say this is a new development or change, was just wondering if it's my car or all of them. Maybe has to do with the fact that some of the AC air is going to the back seat vents?? Anyone else notice this or have any comments. Thanks much, highly appreciated.

Yes, if you close some vents it'll blow out the rest harder. You could also check your blower motor to make sure that's working.

BTW: I'm jealous that you live in HI. I love the show Hawaii Five-O and every time I see those beaches and jungles I just start to day dream what it would be like to live in a place that people go to vacation, lol.

Thanks. The motor works in all speeds, just relative low flow compared to any car I've been in recently. My wife's g37vert and next door neighbors accord are like being in a wind tunnel on max compared to my M. Y, Maui is a great place to live. X we don't have an Infiniti dealer, and average 30mph.

Make sure the vents for the rear are closed as well. I noticed they cool much better. But over all I am a bit disappointed in the AC's cooling ablilities

Everybody should have that problem. OMG. My AC isn't working in this beautiful state of Hawaii. LOL

Maybe a weak battery? But closing off back vents may help... cabin filter clogged. I'd do that 1st.

Thanks. Recently changed filter. I leave the rear vents open because I'm designated golf driver due to large trunk. The rear airflow isn't going to win any awards either. Again, I'm only talking flow, the cooling is normal, and if I pull out of the garage (vs sitting in the sun) it is adequate. I'm just surprised that all these other cars have better flow.

You are correct the M-series air movement is 2/3rds less than the G series, I've confirmed in serval m's. I have a g37, and 2 m56's since sold one both were exactly the same.

Thanks much. Glad to hear it's not mine only. I was just in the garage playing with vents and looking at vacuum hoses. Ac set to 60 and freezing but air flow would probably not work well in Florida

I live in Florida and on the hottest days It'll take me a moment to pull off its annoying, first take down the windshield sun shade then roll the back one down I find that I need to adjust the vents a bunch a millimeter at a time till the cold air is aimed right at my face .The cabin temperature is like Vietnam for a few minutes at least so I also need to roll all the windows down to help equalize the scorching cabin air with the 94 degree atmosphere outside. I feel If the flow isn't the greatest in these cars at all or maybe the vents/ducts couldve been located/designed differenly so they blow harder. I like to feel like there's at least a 40 mph gust of arctic air coming at me when it's on high. The tiniest seat adjustment drives me nuts since I have to resync my posture to the most comfortable vent arrangement. I wish there was an auto memory feature for the vents that coincided with the seat memory poitions lol

Wow, I am so glad to hear that, especially having moved from Florida to Maui 15 yrs ago. Your comments confirm there is nothing wrong with my car except the Ac design for that class vehicle. I like to have much higher blower air flow capability, even if I would rarely use it, and air would initially be warm. With 4 people in the car, definitely could use more air flow in the rear vents also on hot days. If car is parked out of the sun, the Ac is very cold and more than adequate on lower blower settings, even on hot days here.

You can always take the cabin filter out completely to increase airflow a bit.

I have played with the fan speed and didn't notice any issues. I know one thing it's alot quieter than the '09 Maxima I came from when the fan speed is set to hi.

But I wonder does it make a difference with the system you have? I have the forest air system and I know that you can go in and change the mix of outside air brought in to the cabin. I also know that you can adjust the speed of the 'breeze'.... :yesnod
