I've posted this question before but it hasnt gotten answered, im hoping the right person see's this post..

Would it be possible to put M45 suspension, on the M35x to give it that sport drop? Or maybe even the M45x suspension (if that is also lower).

Any help would be awesome..

As far as I know, the standard non-X M45 suspension components cannot be put onto the X models - M35X or M45X - without more work than would be reasonable.

And, the M45X susension components are pretty much the same as M35X components ... again, as far as I know!

You can check the Service Manual (link in my sig) to see if there are any differences that would make this a viable consideration.

hmm, thanks for the help. I was expecting them to be slightly different. The only reason i ask is because i love how the m45 sits in comparison to aftermarket springs. Thats the only thing im looking to upgrade as well as tint of course. Then ill be happy. lol But i will look into it more.. i suppose cutting factory springs is out of the question.. haha

Well, I don't really know for sure, so I would still recommend looking at the Service Manual to check. Particularly to see if there would be any difference worth doing the deed.

Eek is the my first-blush answer.

In theory, you can do it, of course! However, it is probably better to get correctly designed lowering springs, since the manufacturer will change the spring rates to compensate for the reduced travel, etc., etc., etc.

Cutting OEM springs will probably also have adverse handling affects on the car as a whole, and may give you the look, but not be the outcome you want.
