The most important thing is to keep the rolling diameter of the tires exactly the same! Not the calculated diameter - as many sites show for a specific tire size. These calculated diameters are too simplistic. Often for a given tire size, the actual diameter is dependent on the sidewall stiffness, the width of the wheel that is used, etc.
This means that you need to use the tire "rev per mile" information from the manufacturer (see my tables in the stickies) to make sure that this is as close as possible.
So, if you change the width of the tire, then the rolling diameter is likely to be quite different, and trying to change the aspect ratio will only go so far. You simply will not get close.
Plus, if you use a staggered wheel setup with the same identical tire, this tends to change the section profile and also minutely alters the rolling diameter.
The bottom like: IMHO, using staggered wheels and different tires on an M35X or M45X - which are designed for identical wheels and tires all around - is a recipe for problems with the all-wheel drive system.
I'd stick with the wheels you have - don't even use different tires for the front and back axles!
If you still want to use staggered wheels or different sized tires front to back, you should trade the X model in for the 2-wheel drive models instead. A bit of an extreme comment from me, I agree, but this is likely to be a better way to go.
