Hello all! I'm new to this forum but have had my m35x for a while now. My warranty recently expired so I've been doing minor upgrades/modifications.

Anyways, I have been looking for a lowering spring for the AWD model and have been unable to find anything that would work for SURE besides the Espiler. Has anyone installed either the Tanabe NF210 or the Tein H Tech springs? Any help would be appreciated!

My understanding is, because of the all wheel drive system, aftermarket springs aren't widely available for our vehicles.

I'm coming from a 6th Gen Maxima that was lowered and while lowering provided a much more sporty ride and a more even look, in the long run it wasn't worth it for what it did the rigidity of the car.

I read a post about someone that lowered their ride and didn't like what it did to the car and I wouldn't do it on the 'x' model. But good luck in your search and i'll definitely be interested to see what you come up with.

I saw that reveiw to, which is why I decided not to go with the Eibach springs. I guess I will end up trying the Tanabe springs until I can get a hold of some Espilers. Also, does anyone know if the bump stops on the 2wd version will work on the AWD? I'm guessing they will not which is why there are no bump stops on the vehicle to begin with, however i figure it is worth it to ask

Do a search on the Tanabe springs first, there was a guy who tried them out and did not have good results, not sure if it was here or on FA. Generally, from spending days and days searching on this, it seems everyone had good results on the X with the Espelir and Eibach springs.

Unfortunately Mackin isnt really bringing in Espelir springs and I could not find them on the shelf anywhere so I went with Eibach, but have 0 regrets. The car rides great, spring rates are comfortable for daily driving, drop is where I like, handling has improved. Im happy with them and have no issues!

If you do take a shot at the Tanabe's or Tein's please do post your feedback and results though

Thanks for the information! I already ordered the Tanabe springs (NF210) though, so we'll see how it goes. Did he happen to mention what problems occured? Un-even drop or too much drop? I will post pics of the before and after, hopefully by Friday or Saturday. I couldn't find that review on FA. (probably because i don't know what it is.. haha)

I see you are in NYC. If you could, get a little detailed as to the ride quality in your M with the upgraded springs. I'm thorougly interested in the drop, however having just come from a dropped ride, I want to make sure there is still the level of comfort you'd expect from this automobile.

When I had my Maxima dropped, on smooth pavement, all was butter, almost Porsche like with the Tein S-Tech's, but as soon as the pavement got a little bumpy, i felt like the entire car would fall apart.

Again, just looking for a little insight before I make a huge mistake.
