I saw an older post to add a bypass switch for the DVD NAV unit to view while driving (for passengers to view, not the driver). How can that be done on the DVD audio unit for a 2006 M35X and is the unit to be modified in the center consoll?

I believe the hack is meant for viewing input from the DVD-Audio and Aux input. Basically it sounds like you're thinking this is two different hacks. If you choose to do the hack, which of course is for the viewing pleasure of the passenger, then you could put the trigger switches where ever you wanted. There just happens to be some space in the center console.

I'm not for sure which post you are referring to, but I'd be willing the guess it's got the info you're looking for.
