We recently inherited this fine car. I wish it had been different circumstances, as a death in the family was the catalyst. We imported the car from Canada to Oregon and found it didn't have any of the stickers underhood to show it was smog compliant. Thanks to Infiniti, we got an email within two hours that satisfied US Customs. Now. I need a front license bracket - I am assuming any Maxima or Infinit will work so I am heading to UPull in the morning. It also has a sizable dent in the corner of the rear bumper fascia. I have fixed these on my Lincoln and our Magnum before, using heat and gentle pressure after which I sanded and painted. Do these cars require two stage repairs or can I use a can? Which have you found easier - to repair with the bumper on or removed? I also want to start out with all fluids replaced. What does this car take in the differential that splits the torque front to rear? What do you guys use in your transmissions and crankcases? I have always been a Mobil1 user but I have never owned an all wheel driver. Any advice gratefully accepted, thank you. Great forum.
