Hi I checked the manual and could not find any maintenance for the Hybrid battery, just the 12v battery.
Does anyone know if there is a battery check that is performed to determine the performance and life left in the battery?

As it is a 2012 car Not sure what % of battery effectiveness I am getting. Thanks!

Hi,

Have you succeeded to find a work around for this?
I am also in doubt about a future aquisition of a car with this system.

Thank you!

Hi,

The hybrid battery is free of maintenance. Infiniti techs touch the system only when there is a problem (exemple : noisy fan because of too much dirt in it).

To know if your hybrid battery is in good shape, you can bring the car to a hybrid/electric vehicle specialist and have him check cells one by one. Maybe the Nissan consult box can give informations about the cells but i'm not sure as my Infiniti tech said there was no way to know. Maybe he was laisy...

I search a lot before buying this car and the one or two posts I've found about dead hybrid batteries where due to bad technicians that let the battery fully discharge in some obscure situations.

There is few m35h in Europe, but when I go to leparking ad website, I see a lot of them with around 200mkm. Pretty solid.

Cheers

Running a cell balance test is a complete pain in the butt and I don't think anyone will want to do it, but the Consult3+ Data Monitor can give you a print of individual cell voltages so you can evaluate cell differentials yourself. That's easy and your dealer should have no problem doing it for you.

I know he was lazy... thank you for the information. I will ask another dealer for next service.
