I just purchased a 06 m35 x..... clean..... nice looking and a lot buttons.... I believe its the premium package.... however, compared to my last car... (04 maxima se)........ performance pretty much sucks......

im considering doing a couple of mods but im getting discouraged because everyone is saying there is not much out there for this car.

not knowing much about enhancing performance, ive done a little research and it looks like i need an intake(injen) and maybe a performance chip?..... if i still cant bare maybe an exhaust (stillen)....

im seeing these performance chips on line for under $60 but im thinking it should cost more then that.....

are products like this worth it?

Welcome to NICO!

With those "performance chips", there are rarely any real measurable power or torque gains. Certainly never even close to the 50 HP and 50 ft-lb torque gain claimed in that ad!

Best to avoid wasting your money!

sigh...... I heard alot of the Z, and G35 parts will work for the M 35....... is this worth trying.... or is it pretty much what it is with the M 35...

im really considering trading it in at this point.....

I test drove an M45 Sport before I bought my M45 Luxury w/ premium package. I wanted to test drive an M35 first to see if that would perform well enough to make me happy, but there were none around, so I drove the M45 and wasn't blown away by it, so I decided an M35 was right out (much less and M35x). Then I bought mine, it performs much better, so this could have a lot to do with how your car was broken in and/or driven prior to your purchase. Obviously this doesn't help with your problem, but if you determine that trading it in is the only viable solution, you might test drive another, especially if you did a lot of research and that was definitely the car you want (short of the power issue you are now having).
