So I am getting mixed reviews on the wheel spacers. People say the ebay ones are dangerous and that version 1 ichibas are safe but version 2 are not? From what I can see the best brand to buy is Eibach? Does anyone even know where to buy 15mm Eibach spacers or have a better brand to suggest?

Just took off my 20" Vossen's for the winter and bought some 2008 19" Sport Wheels, gotta get some spaca's (said with north east accent)...

Thanks!

I've been on H&R DRM spacers for 6 months now and they're solid. I got 15mm for both front/rear but in hindsight I think 15 front 10 rear is best. The rears are a bit too far out for my liking. With this width spacer you may have to cut the stock studs down a bit depending on the spacing on your rims. Either way you'll need to have spaces on your wheels between the bolt holes.

Msvara,

After an hour of reading up on your post and others I have come to the following conclusion. I am confused. Understanding all of the different components and there specifictions is like rocket surgery. Hopefully with the following details you will be able to provide some much needed insight...

Car: 2008 M35 Base (this may affect things as I understand it sits slightly lower than the X model’s?)
Wheels: 2008 M45 Sport
Suspension: Eibach Pro Kit
Eibach Camber Kit
Eibach Rear Tow Kit
Eibach Adjustable Upper Control Arms

With that being said, my car sits just right height wise and the has no negative camber whatsoever. My alignment is pretty much factory with all of the aftermarket adjusters set this way. Now for the questions.

1. Will I need to cut my factory bolts? Can I do this without cutting my factory bolts?
2. I run 20” Vossen VVS085’s in the summer, if I do cut the bolts will these still mount safely?
3. Will the Spacers work with my Vossen wheels?
4. 15mm or 20mm (looking to do the BBK down the road…)?

As always, any feedback is much appreciated…

PS: god bless the forum, the Pep Boys guy ALMOST talked me into buying this $40set of spacers yesterday

Here are some answers and considerations to your questions:
1. Not necessarily. To determine if you do, install the spacers and then the wheel and tighten but do not lower the car. Remove the wheel and see if the bolts left marks on the back of the wheel, if yes you'll need to cut them down, if no then you'll be fine.
2. Based on your questions I'm assuming you are switching to winter rims and they are closer to OEM than your Vossens. Here is something to consider. If you don't care how it looks then forget the spacers for just the winter tires. Once you cut the OEM studs down you will loose some of the threads you used to tighten the summer wheels and this could be a safety issue. I would recommend an H&R DRS http://www.stillen.com/product/wheel-sp ... 41059.htmltype spacer but then you would possibly be faced with too long studs when you put the summer wheels back on. IMO I would get new winter rims with the correct offset or just ignore it and live with the look for the winter.
3. The spacers may work with your Vossens as long as there are gaps which are deep enough for the bolts to go through.

This is an example of a deeper DRM spacer where the OEM studs and bolts are flush with the face of the spacer so nothing needs to be cut. I'm going to assume these are 25mm spacers from the look. Think of it this way can your current wheels stick out 25mm?
4. Are you asking this question because you want to find a way to make the winter wheels fit if you get a BBK? First of all I don't think 18" wheels will clear the BBK both in offset clearance and diameter and having anything larger than 18" as a winter wheel, well whats the point when running 19" wheels with winter rubber won't make too much of a difference.

and then I found this post and i am back....

bbk-wheel-spacer-information-t520363-60.html

Lots of good information here as I do want to run the BBK setup sometime in the near future. According to this thread there is a pretty big difference between the M35 Base and M35X. Sooooooo.... will I be able to run 20mm spacers (with my drop and adjustments) without my 19" sport rims sticking out beyond the fender? Or do I have to stick with the 15mm's? I know there is some kind of equation to figure it out but that is beyond me...

Also, here is the link to my Vossen Wheels. Will these work with 15MM spacers?

^ + + + on H&R's, which is a hubcentric spacer and separate/longer studs. Relatively easy to bang out the existing OEM studs from the hub and install the longer studs,

The only negative, with the H&R studs was that I needed deeper closed lug notes or had to use open ended lug nuts.

Okay, I have some cash together; now where to buy them... I definitely want the DRM spacers (http://www.stillen.com/product/wheel-sp ... 41060.html) but want to make sure that drilling out a small amount of metal to make the studs fit will be okay. Also what is the best price? Is there a NICO vendor that carries these?
