My wife came home from work the other day, and said she was doing 115 on the toll road... and there was still plenty of room behind the pedal.

I would like to know as well, that way I can prepare for how much the ticket is gonna cost me.

I had my '04 somewhere north of 150 closer to 155. I wasn't really taking the time to concentrate on the speedo I was watching the road a little more.

Thanks guys! When i test drove the car i had her up to 110 and didn't even realize it until i looked down. The dealer was surprised also.

Thank God I got most of the Speed Demon out of my system...heh, heh, heh!

I have had my 2003 M45 up past 120mph and there was plenty of oomph left to go higher. On my 1991 Q45, I have had it up close to 145 to 150mph indicated - see thread on Infiniti Speeding stories! But, now that I have a young son (and it ain't worth getting killed), I am unlikely to go much past 120mph anymore - not at least till he goes off to college on his own.

As a friendly reminder:

1. Never, ever drive a car past 100 to 120mph on any tire that is not in optimal condition.

2. Always set the tire to 5 to 7 extra psi (above normal)- use about 42 to 44psi.

3. Never speed above 100mph on a tire that has had a puncture and now has an internal patch. This automatically derates the speed rating of the tire!

Thanks szhosain:

I know all about speed and tires. I used to race my 88 Honda Hurricane 1000 when i was stationed in Florida. Once a month my friends and I would go to Seabring race track. It was fun...when you're in your 20's..LOL.

You are so right about tires and i am always cautious and inspecting my tires and wheels. There's always a bunch of construction going on here in SA and there are nails and rivets and other junk on the roads.

The Max PSI for the Bridgestone Potenzas PSI is 33lbs. I thought that over filling the tires would cause the center to wear out faster? at $300.00 per tire i'm going to watch out for that.

I rarely go above 80mph anymore, well except for passing and such. I had asked about the top speed because the M35 is soo smooth at high speeds.

For those who commented about the 6 cylinder engine bogging or losing it's oomph above 5 grand rpms there must be something wrong, because my auto pulls all the way to redline.......I likes!
