My dash board is sticky and i have tried goo gone, chemical bros interior dash cleaner, water, and soap. Nothing works to get rid of stickyness.

Im reading up on lawsuits for nissan and toyota owners who have melting dashboards. I dont really know if that is my case. It wasnt like this before.

It is so sticky it will pull fiber off of a scrub sponge, magic eraser, non lint towel, microfiber towel, and anything else i threw at it.

HELP ME PLEASE AS I HAVE LINT AND FIBERS ALL OVER MY DASH.

After i was done i cleaned up all the sticker crumbles that fell onto the dash and noticed i couldnt wipe it up. I used microfiber and then that left fibers in the dash, i tried some chemical bros interior dash cleaner and light used a scrub piece of a sponge and the damn dash was pulling fiber off the sponge! I switched to magic eraser and it was ripping pieces off that! NOTHING WILL STOP THE STICKINESS! Wtf?! HELP. I have lint, blue and red cloth specs in my dash. Video attached of how sticky this dash is.

Our m35 dash are not plastic so im wary not to use gasoline or rubbing alcohol as i have no idea what that would do.

I just watched your video. That is a head-scratcher. The only suits I have read about were for dash covers that formed bubbles like fried bologna and it applied to the FX models.
Have you ever applied a dressing to it that has possibly degraded from sun or heat? I doubt Infiniti will do anything because you can't prove you haven't caused it yourself. Unless there is a history of this exact complaint from other M owners.
Try wetting a micro fiber towel, leaving it in the freezer until it's very very cold, then see if the towel is able to pick up whatever that sticky gunk is. Other than that, it's worth a trip to the dealer so they can check their computer for any TSBs that may have been approved for this situation. Failing that, I'm not sure what options are left aside form replacing or re-covering the dash.
Please keep us all in the loop while you sort this out.

I researched the hell out of this and it a common problem for dashboard to melt or get gummy over a period of time. They have lawsuits about it and dealers are fixing them i think. I bought mine from carmax so i have no dealer and prob will not be able to participate in the recall.

It not just infiniti in this suit. Its Nissan, Toyota lexus Mazda. Problem states are FL TX CA . I live in TX.

The m35 dashes will get gummy after a while. So much that a light fingernail will chip off pieces of the dash

Im thinking about doing an ugly dash mat because it will only spread and get worse.

Its a lawsuit/recall since its a safety concern. If you have a sticky shiny dash, then its going to reflect on your windshield causing poor visibility.

This is why I tint ALL my windows including my windshield (albeit only 50% on the windshield - 20% everywhere else - just to get enough UV's blocked).
