i recently purchased an '07 M35 Nav no Sat..pretty basic model..

i have a stereo in my 05 BMW 325ci that i would like to move to this car i have a few questions that i cant seem to find the answers to

what are the sizes of the 4 door speakers? where are the current amplifiers for the stereo located? i would assume in the trunk but i know in some cars its in the wheel well or some odd locationalso how do i access the Amp

my stereo includes

infiniti Kappa component speakersJL 300/4 AmpJL cleansweepJBL 600.1Kicker L712

also will this effect my navigation steering wheel controls etc?

i have been searching for this for about 4 months now with no luck so any help would be greatly appreciated.

All 4 door speakers are 6.5 inch. Changed out the door speakers with JL Audio and sounds 100% better. This weekend I am adding what appears to be the same amp with a 10" shallow mount Pioneer sub. I'm told the amp is in the trunk. I'm told so long as you tap into the signal after the stock amp there will be no effect on anything.

the amp is definitely in the trunk, on the passengers side. I attempted to have my cleansweep installed, and it was an overall horrible experience b/c the guy installing didn't know exactly how to work the cleansweep. Will make sure to take to an authorized JL Audio installer this time.

Per my installer there is no need for a cleansweap if you use a JL Audio amp. The amp is capable of dealing with the equalization issues. The freshalloy site has an apparent response from a JL audio rep who says the cleansweep wasn't necessary as well. My system now consists of two JL audio coaxs in the front, a JL audio wedge box in the trunk and a JL audio 75 x 4 amp. The hole where the stock sub would go was cut out and covered with the Bose cover. IMHO the system sounds pretty good and for the most part unnoticeable. Being older I didn't even know of the name JL audio when I started but whatever works. I'm told an Alpine amp has the same capabilities.

Based on the same information that you could lose the nav and bluetooth we tapped into the signal with the JL Audio amp after the stock amp. Everything works. The phone is a little louder which wasn't anything I was trying to fix but I have read complaints about the volume with just the stock amp. I didn't try and replace the stock amp. Hope this helps.
