When driving my new M35, if the road is uneven the car sways almost uncontrollably. I am very disappointed in this 50,000.00 car. Brought to dealer and they say it is a characteristic of the car. Granted on Interstate it is fine. Also, hear a lot of road noise. Anybody else with these issues?

Sounds alot like Q2 with her wide 255's. I get substantial "lateral squirm" on rutted pavement - especially near intersections. I would ask to drive a few others on the lot to see if it is indeed "normal"

Yes that is exactly what happens. I guess they are all like that. Just is a weird feeling to not have control.

Check the tire pressure, and move it up and down and see if that makes a difference.

Did they check the alignment? That can really make it feel weird....

Read your FSM concerning steering wheel force [measure it] and adjusting the pinion gear preset friction. Adjusting the amount of isolation is possible over a narrow range.

Does the feedback vary with ambient temperature on the exact same road section?

Lexus adds a tie rod shock absorber to dampen this action but it removes the road connectiveness feeling desired on performance cars.
