Hi Group! I'm not a true newbie, but don't do much forum time. I hope someone can help with info/ideas....
I have an 07 M35 Sport, with low profile tires (P245/40R19 Eagle RS-A). They're great fun in the mountains, but the car is now mostly a daily driver with increasing amounts of interstate travel.
I'm really weary of the road noise and harsh ride from these tires, which dealer installed hoping to fix severe tramlining with factory Bridgestones (unsuccessful). Also, I've found that running at 40psi, instead of the factory spec 33 psi, significantly reduces the severe tramlining, but adds noise and harshness. After a couple hours on the highway, I'm beat from the unforgiving, but sticky, tires.
I'm ready to compromise performance, to a degree, for comfort.
Any suggestions/recommendations? If I try oversize tires or new rims for standard sidewalls, will I exceed wheel well space or hit brake assembly obstructions? Any tires of existing size known to give a quiet, comfortable ride.
My preference is to just swap tires and not change anything else, but I need results.
Thanks!

My 06 coupe had those rsa's and they were loud, went michelins they were awe inspiring but the cabin noise came back after about 5000 miles. Ive come to the conclusion that these cars have poor interior soundproofing. hell i put the rsa's on my 240 and they are not loud so its definitely the interior! Let us know if you actually remedy the road noise, GL!
