I just took the seat out and fixed the broken weld on the door side but when I reinstalled the seat it is still tilting into the center console. I can pull the seat up but once you sit down it tilts again.

Is there any fix for this other than replacing the bracket ($1500 CDN)? I'm trying to sell the car. :( Thanks

Maybe try some type of spacer...but likely if the bracket is busted you will need a new one. I'm still surprised Infiniti USA or CAN hasn't issue a recall for this. This is a dangerous thing, IMO if the seat isn't secured to the floor or can break in the event of an accident sending the driver into the dash/windshield. Have you called Infiniti Corporate? Might be too late now since you attempted your own repairs...

Can you elaborate a little more on what type of spacer / where that would go? I guess another option would be to buy a bracket from a pick n pull type place?

If Infiniti hasn't done a recall and my car is way out of warranty I'm not sure what help they could provide. I'm shocked this wasn't a recall, I guess because it isn't a civic or corolla with millions of vehicles on the road. Not worth the cost to them.

I'm just thinking outside the box...I've never done it. But in theory some washers or something would prop up the other side of the bracket and keep the seat level, no? How to do it is for you to decide.
