I have just replaced my rear shocks on my 07 M35. I noticed the new Monroe shocks did not come with any dust boots. I am asking how necessary it is the reinstall the dust boot and the fiber insert inside the dust boot. I cleaned the dust boot and fiber insert and reinstalled on the shaft. I've noticed that the dust boot and fiber insert do limit some of the shaft travel but not sure how critical the limited travel is.
Any information would be great. Thanks
