Next order will be in July :frown:

Anyone need one?
I was able to pass NJ state inspection with the Megan axle back & mid-pipe with no problems, the only other part I had was a K&N drop-in filter.

I'd like to upgrade my exhaust but still keeping it street legal, what are my options?
technically they're not legal but not illegal either. Check with your state laws and ordinances so that you know for sure. A lot has to do with the increased noise from the exhausts. So long as you don't mess with the catalytic converter, you shouldn't have anything to worry about during emissions testing.

Thanks Freddie & Wizard. I am in Cali and our laws here are pretty tough, I guess no Headers and HFCs, just mid-pipe and exhausts will be next mods.

In CA, you won't pass with HFC, but you will pass with Headers if you can pass visual and you are not a gross polluter.

Wangtang, if you were local, I would've sold you what i currently have for a good price but you are not. I use Tanabe + Megan Mid Pipe combo.

Yea that's too much work, no point of getting headers without HFCs. Thanks for the offer Zerg but Freddie sold me on the Megan as I was still debating.
My main thing is keeping the classy stock look of quad tips, it fits better with my rear bumper on the 2006.
Just need a hit a parlay on NBA LOL

Just swap out the HFCs every other year for smog tests... Keep your stock cats in the garage ;). That's what I did.... Now I'm selling the HFCs, ypipe and Megan axle backs......

So let me know.....

So here is my opinion. The install was pretty easy but I am not 100% happy just yet. They do not jut out far enough for you to see how gorgeous they are, the gap between the exhaust and bumper is too big, I personally cannot hear a change in sound, and they’re diameter might be a tad too big. I am bringing it to a shop later to see if it can be adjusted. I think once they are flush up against the bumper I will be much happier.

The mufflers need time to break in... Lol

Also if you have everything from the cats, ypipe and mid pipes as stock, you will not have the same sound as others with full aftermarket set ups...

Yeah I kind of figured that... Still, I did not get the look that I wanted and I am going to put them up for sale. Back to factory for me...

If anyone sees this they are going to be $450 shipped. Lowest price I can find now is around $550 (if you find lower then I will lower my price), they are literally 3 days old...

Sorry to hear... But to my understanding didn't you buy the set for waaaay under 450..? You've installed them on your car and will be selling them for 450..? Not sure if that's legit pricing. I'm sure someone may pick them up, but besides me, I think a lot of members on this forum may not agree with the price. But more power to you :)

Right, summit had an error on there website and after hours of arguing they finally honored it since I had already checked out.

But yes, I would certainly sell for less if the offer was reasonable. I'm going off of the prices I'm seeing now...

I am thinking about the burnt tip too. I like the look of the burnt tip and if I'm going to pay extra I would like it to show. I also like the rolled tip because the straight cut tip looks cheap. I plan to make my purchase before the week finish. I also plan to get the megan mid pipe too.
I like the roaring sound the stock g 35 exhaust make. My m35 stock exhaust is too quiet. I am still debating if I should go with the burnt tip or plain tip. Any advice on place's with good price?

So I did have the burnt tips installed and took them off because the gap inbetween the rear bumper and the top of the exhausts was around 1.5" (this may not be the case with the full stainless version?), this kind of killed it for me. I tried modifying the arms but then it looked like I honda civic'd the exhausts to point upwards. My search for a quad tip exhaust continues

Does it look like this:

If the pipe is to close to the bumper the heat will discolor the paint on the bumper or even warp it :frown:

Have a shop install an aluminum plate onto the body then bring it a bit closer. I actually think it would look cool if they stuck out about 3cm. Sort of like the M5 look.
