After extensive searching (I'll admit, I'm not that great at it), I am posting this question to you experts.

I have a 2010 M35 Base and I wrecked the front end. The body shop quoted $10k to fix it! I found a 2006M35x with a blown motor. Could I swap the front end components: impact bar, air deflector, headlights, radiator support and radiator side supports from the 2006 to my 2010 without issues??? I am really in a bad spot as I only had liability on my car. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. BTW, I found the blown motor car for less $2k, so buying the whole car is a great deal if my plan works. Thanks in advice.

Welcome to the forum.

I believe this is fine to do, but you can cross reference the part numbers using an online parts site like InfinitiPartsUsa.com and confirm.

Thanks, I am going to update my progress as I go and hopefully help someone else out in the future. Our cars are getting more and more expensive to fix.

After talking to the dealership, they were very sure that 03-07 are the same, but 08-10 are the same. Doesn't look like my idea will work without possible mods to the brackets and such.

LOL. Did you talk to the guy who sweeps the floors or something? The 03-04 M (aka Y34 platform) is NOTHING like the Y50 (06-10) M platform. Not even remotely (body wise). Body wise, the Y34 might as well be a BMW (read: no parts are the same with the Y50).

Call another dealer and ask the same question and ask to speak to someone who actually has seniority in the place. The 06-10 should be identical but you can cross reference part numbers, etc. to make sure.

FWIW one of the older members from what I can remember, he took the Newer style bumper and put on his 07 M45...I doubt infiniti would've spent money to make things that much different between a 2006 and a 2010. In fact I'm willing to highly bet all that stuff is interchangeable based on my experience owning Nissans.

That's the crazy thing. The part numbers for 06-07 are the same. The 08-10 are different. I checked on www.infinitipartsusa.com Could I be wrong?

I agree. The 2006 - 2010 M's are probably VERY close to identical. There might be a slight difference in the mounting holes or brackets cuz my 2009 has a different 3.5 engine (dual intakes instead of single) and a different air shroud but that should be an easy work around. It is definitely worth spending $2,000 for an entire car full of used parts for the future, too !

I'm leaning that way also. After getting the immediate necessary parts, I'll be compiling a list of the next most useful parts for the future. I know the touch screens are rather expensive to replace.

HeHe ... ALL parts on these cars (and probably any car) are very expensive. The leather on my gear shift knob was wearing. The body shop at the dealer wanted $425 for a new one. NOT the whole stick and boot cover assembly, just the leather covered top piece. They gave me the part number (C4910-1A61A) and I bought a new one from Infinitipartsonline for $241. The money you will save by having a spare car full of parts is absolutely blinding! Not to mention that you could ship parts to members for reasonable prices!

It’s the same exact front end so yes it will work.
