I just purchased my first Infiniti, from a private seller, and have a question that I hope someone can answer.
Under the cd drive it says MP3 which leads me to believe I can play one but I cannot locate any connectors to do so. I can't find how to set it up via Bluetooth either. I'm thinking I can't really play one and that little mp3 tag was just standard but to actually use it was an upgrade???

You can play MP3s or WMA files burned onto a CD, but not actually play songs from an MP3 player.

The bluetooth in that year M is not set up to stream music files from a smartphone or other bluetooth enabled device.
You need to have the RCA inputs in the rear of the center console, or buy an aftermarket adapter that plugs into your factory radio that enables auxiliary input, eg. iSimple (not recommended) vs USA spec PA15-NIS or PA15-INFI.

You should search the M threads for "streaming bluetooth music" to see how other folks have managed to solve that problem.

good luck,

Craig

Buzzy, check out this link. This is made directly to fit our M35 exactly but only if we have the satellite option. I personally have not purchased this item but I do plan it by the spring time as I am getting tired of the same old 6 mp3 cd's in my M lol.

Thanks! I did click on the link and it says...
"The satellite tuner has to be disconnected..."
For my 2006, does this in turn mean I'd have no regular or satellite radio? Don't mean to sound dumb! I'm just confused!

I am not 100% sure but it could be. I would sacrifice satellite radio to here tunes out of my phone lol. You can always download the Sirius/XM app on your mobile device to stream from.
