I got my 2007 M35x in May 2010 with 32kmi on the clock.
Since then I have done the following:
1) Driver seat track and computer replaced as soon as I got the car due to the memory function not working and seat moving upon braking (warranty - 35kmi or so)
2) Both front wheel bearings, passenger side hub and axle (warranty - might have been cause by me taking a jump with the car lol - 58kmi)
3) Bluetooth module replaced/relocated per TSB (warranty - 58kmi)
4) Fuel filler neck/valve replaced (warranty - 58kmi)
5) Steering rack was leaking/not tight and was replaced (warranty - 88kmi)
That's it. Otherwise, I've been replacing (the last 20kmi or so) the suspension components, doing exhaust now, etc. I have had no engine or transmission issues the entire time of owning the car. I don't even check the oil as I change it often enough that I'm not worried (every 5kmi regardless of how I used it).
Bottom line: this car has been ultra reliable
