Hello everyone, I have an 1991 M30. It has about 160,000 miles on it. The other day I started it, while it was idling, I put my seatbelt on and rolled the windows down. Then... It died! And now it will not start. It turns over fine, but does not sound like its firing. I pulled the coil wire and cannot see it fire, when I put it near the coil. I had a Mitsubishi truck do this once and had to buy a rebuilt computer, 400 bucks if I remember correctly. I can buy a new igntion control module (I think that was what it was called) from AutoZone for about $85.00. Does anyone know how to test the coil or can I check computer codes or anything. I hate to buy something not knowing if I even need it. Thanks for your help,Todd Templeton

Well I am not sure how you can do those sort of tests for the M30, but if you check back a few times tonight, they'll be some more guys on with a lot more info for you!

Sorry to hear about your troubles! How do you like your M30 overall?

Unplug the Mass air sensor connector at the carb air intake filter area and try again, this worked for me.

Thanks for the idea, but it did'nt work

Tried disconnecting battery, waiting and reconnecting.

I was having altenator problems before it died, but it turns over fine, so I don't think thats the problem.

Anybody have anymore ideas?
