M30 trunk issue

Car: 1991 Infiniti M30

I’ve done a bit of digging on the faulty trunk release I have the key and the cylinder is seized up. The button makes a faint click noise I assume the release is locked up too. So any other options besides drilling the cylinder or called a locksmith? Thanks

Locksmiths like to use a product called " Houdini " , a spray can with a unique cleaning/prep agent that 'frees-up' , AND a bit of lube ( a PTFE ?) lube to leave a good film on pins/tumblers . Then , locksmith goes to a full PTFE product to regularly keep the mechanism copacetic .
Maybe try to blast the livin crap out of it with some Houdini . After all ........aint no lock Houdini can't open ! Ya ??
