m30 struts/shocks rear first

hard to describe motion, but car dips right and shake when right rear wheel hits bumps. or same as above when entire car goes over a bump. (car remains straight driving though) factory specs on rear wheel arch from ground up is 26.14 inches. my left arch is 25 and right is 24 inches. the rear wheels seem to be slanting outward on the bottom / \ <-- wheels.didn't really notice when i got the car, but seems worse now. left wheel has a burning smell after fast driving, so i replaced left caliper because of burning smell and screeching noise in reverse. noise stopped, but smell is still there. i was wondering if the angle outward of the wheels is stressing the bearings or some other moving part. will new struts/springs straighten the wheels l l ? does the rear use struts or shocks? i've found monroe shocks on the internet, but the picture (shock with double circular connections at both ends) doesnt resemble the service guide picture which has a pole that goes up into the actuator on top. most service stores here don't carry this cars parts. thanks.

hey, if the struts are worn then it can allow the car to sag lower, which also causes the wheels to have a larger camber /-\ if u replace them it would probly correct the prob. t could also br the springs being to worn. as for the pictures ur looking at, most interenet places give a generic picture of what they are selling, because the parts they are selling are generic. im not sure what to say bout the bump issue but it may b apart of the strut problem.good luck
