M30 engine swap trouble

I am in the middle of putting a new motor in my 91 M30 right now and I was wondering if any one knew a way to get to the upper transmission bolts with out pulling the upper intake.

can you drop the engine and transmission out together??

Not really, Im working out of my garage with a engine hoist, jack, and jackstands. My options are limited. I went ahead and pulled the intake off yesterday though and things became a little easier. I guess I'll have to do the same when I put the new one in. Unless anyone has ideas.

Sorry I didnt reply sooner. I recently helped a friend replace the transmission on his Maxima, and we did remove the intake to gain access. Of course, that VG is oriented in an entirely different way for a FWD car, so I'm probably sharing nothing of value.
