I have a problem with the Bose radio in my 1991 M30. Normal sound comes out of the right rear speaker, but can only get very low volume from other three speakers. Balance and Fader controls will not compensate for the difference. Seems like the amplifiers for three of the speakers are not working. Any ideas?

If the M is anything like the Q of that era, your guess about bad amps is probably correct. You can have them rebuilt, or go with an all new aftermarket system.

Rebuilds cost between $50-75 per amp. Of course it could be a head unit (radio) issue. You might move the one good speaker to the left spot and see if the good sound follows it... You can probably plug it in to the other spots to check them as well.

Thanks for the tip.....the good sound follows the good speaker. Where can I find rebuilt or good used amplifiers?
