dang dude i'm inspired by your crazy overhaul. i just read all 10 pages; i thought my 2 yr 'restoration' was intense.. then again i live in New Mexico and we essentially dont know what rust is here. but again, props on your proj. keep it up. if you've got some downtime check out what i've done:

Loving every bit of this build. Honestly spent about 3-4 hours on here, reading every post since page one lol. Love seeing what you have got done so far, and i cant wait to see it when its finished, very nice. I can't wait to get myself an S13 either, but this PA weather means im gonna be stuck with rust too

she is making a phenomenal recovery considering the circumstances, thanks for asking man.

with that being said, i will probably get going on this thing again in about a month or so.

yes, thanks for the heads up, i read about the zinc fume thing. i'll definitely be careful! and hell yeah your restoration i'd say is a notch above mine, AND you're almost done too lol.

and wow, almost 58,000 views now? i'm glad people like this kind of stuff.

Man, I used to dream about this exact thing when I first got my 240. I always wanted to just strip everything down and start over. Awesome build bro, you are the man.

Holy cow, I have been reading this thread for almost an hour now. Absolutely incredible considering the circumstances bro, glad to hear your Mom is doing okay and you have your priorities staight. This gives great insight to those looking to buy cars from northern regions and what to expect as far as rust damage even if the outside looks really nice. Awesome thread and work broski, I will definently follow this one all the way to the end because I can't get enough!!!

So I still haven't seen your car since it was in your mom's garage; AND you live down the street from me. Lame!Anyway, hurry with the escort so you can finish this gorgeous piece of work, then we can finally ride together in style and make a certain someone feel like s*** :-D

I'm evil, I know <3

PS: I want as many parts for my car as you got for yours. Why can't I?

Amazing work man, you are a true inspiration to me and I see alot of other people. Have you given any thought into doing restoration as more than a hobby? With your almost OCD attention to detail (not trying to make fun of you, I'm the same way haha) I think you could do some great things if you opened up a shop. That's my plan atleast, even though I need to get better myself lol. Hope everything goes smoothly bro, can't wait to see more!

"quitters never win, winners never quit" that's you right there man :fistpumping: I love the dedication and determination you have put on this S13, but the most important thing is saving it from going sideways and end up all twisted metal. I too love how you restoring every single oem switch, bolt, etc got to respect that. Keep it up man and God bless that DD s13 for evar, lol.

Crazy resto. I wish I had the time and resources to do this sort of job. I've always loved restoring things; taking the time to make it perfect.

This build is like an encyclopedia of how to do things the right way. I am starting a project soon that is not as bad as yours, but I get to do almost all of previous owner's work over because it is half-assed :squint: Great job man!

small update-

got the driver's side frame rail piece mostly fabbed up. then my dremel crapped out  so i'm trying to fix that currently since it does most of my metal cutting.
