Is anybody having difficulty downloading the manuals that are posted on NICO? I've tried on a number of occasions, and it seems to start fine, but then stops at various places. The ei.pdf was a 2.39 MB pdf file and has been sitting at 1.08 downloaded for about 4 minutes. Many of the other files have also been problematic (on mulitple different machines and network providers).

Well the above stopped, and says "A File I/O error has occurred. The connection has timed out".

Is there any way NICO could ZIP them up to help us with these? It's a great idea and service, but if we can't avail ourselves of it, it becomes moot.

Yes, I've had the same problems. Hitman (his signature said he was the CEO of this site) kindly gave me a more direct link to them, but the same thing happened. I thought it was just idiopathic to my 2 different computer systems; we have a lot of the same software. I figured one day I'll pay the $20.00 US and get them @ the official Infiniti site: http://www.nissan-techinfo.com/infiniti/

Hitman, is there any other issue here? I'd rather give the $$$ to this site.

Have you guys tried to right click and "save link as".. then save it to your hard drive.

That usually works much better.

^^^^ What he said.

Realize that NICO has quite a bit more traffic than other sources so there is a greater chance for a stall when downloading 10-20MB files in-line in a browser. Save the file to your computer and you will have no issues.

Tried all the options, Save As, etc., etc.

Even stayed up and tried after midnight (a challenge for me) and didn't seem volume specific.

Has anyone been successful on the larger files?

Thanx guys-I got them using the left click and "save target as;" downloads now just fine.

The mistake I made was to first open the PDF and then attempt to download it-no go. I don't open the PDF now, just download it w/the "save target as" option to my hard drive and then open it.

Which one are you specifically having problems with?
