09 Pontiac G8 GXP.

poor mans M5 and the prices aren't that bad. I found one in SLC with 15K miles for 23,999. Once my bike is paid off I'm all over that like a rat on a cheeto.

Definitely! That, or a GTO if you can live with the shape. At least its aerodynamic.

I know the CTS is said to have an attractive style, but for me it just doesn't do it. 9/10's of me says ohh la la the other 1/10 says WTF is wrong with that. I have driven one and it is dreamy but I'm afraid I'd walk out to it every morning with that feeling that something wasn't quite right.

There's a GXP in my neighborhood and every time i see it i get a little happy in the pants, which I don't quite understand because the car will never get any styling awards.

Image

It kind of look like a bloated Cobalt.

Don't forget the GXP real world mpg is close to single digits in town. 13/21 not great for an LS motor, but not bad for a 4.5 0-60

I was reading all about the LS a couple months ago. It seems the V6 with the manual is what the V8 should have been.

Good choice!

Atlanta's a cool place.

JESDA, GO TO LITTLE FIVE POINTS AND HIT UP THE VORTEX FOR A BURGER. And go in the Junkman's Daughter and buy a ridiculous shirt for a little more than you'd pay for it anywhere else. They probably have some George Micheal or CHOOSE LIFE shirts there.

The Vortex rocks, you can't go to ATL without hitting up The Varsity though or Mick's has an awesome burger too if they're still around...

Black 2001 manual V6 w/ Alpine, 130k. Spent its early years as a government fleet car for some reason, which hopefully means it was well maintained. There's an ugly spoiler on the back that needs to be removed and a missing piece of the front grille. $4500.

I was also looking at Maximas too, but I'd never owned an LS. There's also a Volvo S60 with manual trans, nav, leather, everything for $5999 in Duluth GA.

The whole Boxster idea was tabled. I even set aside funds for engine replacement and a clutch job if needed, but then I referred back to my Walden Pond way of thinking and thought, "Do I really want to afford it?" The answer was no. [Henry David Thoreau probably would have built his own vehicle out of twigs.]

I still want a scooter and a nicer bicycle. Less money goes a longer way with those. The same is true of Miatas.

Anywho, I'm off to the dealer.
