Lug pattern question

Im a moron when it comes to wheels but what is the difference between 4x100 and 4x114.3 bolt pattern?? Would it be a stupid idea to get a 4x100 for an S13 cause finding the right wheels that look hot for this car is pissing me off.

4x100(mm) is the bolt pattern for Honda Civic, among others

4x114.3(mm) equals what the rest of us call 4x4.5"

This is the bolt pattern for S13 and your choices for altering lug patterns are: do a 5lug conversion (5x4.5")(5x114.3mm)

Don't bother with 4x100mm bolt pattern wheels. They will not fit any 240sx.

Unless you have an old Sentra? You didn't specify. The old Sentra(model years I listed in the Wheel info thread, see above) with 13" and 14" OEM wheels used 4x100 but nothing in this respect crosses over to the 240sx.

To put it simple, If you have 4x114.3 that is what will fit. 4x100 is too small and will not fit. You could change to a 5 bolt hub, or have adaptors made (<-bad idea). But I am sure you will find some 4x114.s's that you like if you keep looking.

Alot of the wheels you find in 4x100 are gonna be cheapies, most of the knockoffs use a double bolt pattern for 4x114 and 4x100.

look for some used JDM wheels, they often come in 4x114 and have better offsets and look cooler too. the old school styles fit the s13 a lot better.

or you could get lucky and catch a deal like i did
