you need to post what kind of datsun it is if you have questions aboutwhat will fit. you're being pretty vague.

datsun cars have 4x114.3 (4x4.5), most of the trucks use 6x5.5, hopefully bandit240 will chime in here.

you really need to tell us what it is though, we'll try and help.

your lug pattern is 5x4.5in, which is the same as 5x114.3mm.

many wheels can be found in this size.

I believe the nissan hub's center bore is 66.10mm.

this website states that your offset on an 86 n/a is +10mmbut you should verify that yourself, here is a link to that info.I personally would have thought it would be more like +30,but that was just a guess and you'll have to check for yourself.

hopefully this is helpful to you.

DO YOU think i can fit 15x8" rear rims on it with 4" back spacing?or is that a little to big?cause i have slicks for 8" wide rims and wanted to mount them.

are you talking stock body? you could definately make it fit, but depending on the offset of the wheels and the size ofthose slicks u got, you might have to roll the rear fendersand do a little pull. for the most part, if the offset is right,I think you can tuck 8's pretty easily. 9's might be a littlemore of a stretch. I'll find you an example of 8's on the rearof a z31.

here's a start. there are z33 wheels on a turbo model with spacers to pushthem out extra. these are larger than what you're looking for but just goingto give you an idea of what you can fit.

more pics and info here - http://www.az-zbum.com/modific...shtml
the owner wrote:The front wheels are 17x7-½" with an offset of 30mm. They come stock with 225/50WR17 Bridgestone Potenza RE040 directional tires. The rear wheels are 17x8" with an offset of 33mm. They come with 235/50WR17 Bridgestone Potenza RE040 directional tires. This gives a backspacing of 4.931" and 5.299" respectively. Stock AE/86T back spacing is 4.287". The front spacing is not an issue. The rear wheel back spacing is not an issue either. But I was really concerned about the front wheels as I have a set of 225/60R15s on my NA, and the tires do occasionally rub on the strut housing. As another tidbit of information, the stock 84 and 85 wheels had a backspacing of 4.431", but this was on 15" wheels. The 87-89 turbo wheels have a backspacing of 4.681". The 17" wheels should allow for a slightly larger backspacing because of the strut tube's angle. Basically, as it all turns out, I have a SMALL amount of space between the wheels and the strut tubes. And a slightly smaller amount of space between the tires and the strut tubes. In any case, they fit on the front with no spacers required.

I went over to try them on after work on Tuesday, March 11, 2003. I didn't take any money with me. What we didn't know at the time was that someone screwed up and put a front tire on a rear rim and a rear tire on a front rim. So when we tried them on we just looked at the tire size (225 = front, right?), and the backspacing made it rub on the strut tube on the front. To counteract this, I bought 5/16" spacers from Pep Boys.

Holly fuc* that white one is niiice.o.k man thanks alot this helped me out alot the slicks are very low profile smallest ones i'v ever seen actually.so i think it will be ok.Also do you think a N/A z can turn over some slicks or would it be to much? And do slicks have to have innertubes or is it safe without them?

oh and I don't know if you need innertubers or not, probably depends onthe kinda slicks. street slicks and some track slicks pretty sure are tubelessbut if it's mopar **** or something who knows.

whether it could light up some slicks or not, I'm sure if it's a healthy 6 it could.not gonna do it like a 20psi turbo would, but you can brake stand and get it rollin.

you're trying to run it for time?

she looks good! I might reccomend that due to the signature size rulesyou may want to put the 2 pics right next to each other instead of on topof each other. anyways, that's a really clean z31 you have there, I shoulddefinately be looking forward to the updates!

when you edit your sig, just make the code:

[ img ] your pic url [ /img ][ img ] your pic url [ /img ]

side by side.

thanks man! you know its funny, in pictures it always looks kinda smallcompared to the 240sx but really they're about the same size...

it's a long datsun!! hehe. anyways, thanks for the compliment.

I have these 15x8 inch wheels with a 0 offset that are going to go onto therear but one needs to be repaired so I just put the higher offset fronts onone side to test fit and take pics. here's the test fit of the 8 with 0 offset.

it's a set of 4 of the same wheels by the way, like I said, the ones from theother pics are just the front wheels put onto the same side. the rear 2 area much lower offset.

of course they don't look settled like the other pics cause its jacked up inthe air, but I'm sure you can tell from the pics how bad ass[color] the deep dishis going to look.

well it's only a 2 litre 4 cyl, but its bored out to 2.2 and has a big cam.

kinda dogs on the low end, but has great freeway accellerationand I suppose it's quick when you consider that its a 4 cyl from1980. header/exhaust sys with no cat helps too I guess.

most compare it to either a delorean or an older ford capri.

it resembles a few different cars but to me it's all datsun.

I think the next thing I get is going to be fender mirrors, trying to get some of the original ones from japan thatcame on this model (silvia in japan).

these are what the fender mirrors that I'm going to get look like.

as time and money allow, I plan to do a motor swap and put somethingwith more power into it. hopefully a turbo 4, but I'd also considered tryingto put a 6 in there... i believe theres enough room under the hood.

whatever I swap in there, I'd like for it to be a nissan motor.
