I have a friend with a 93 prelude with the h22a (vtec) in it with the suspension all redone for autoX. SHe also has a aem cold air and a header. Her distributor went out about a hour out of town so yesturday she needed someone to go with her to drive it back so voluteered. We fixed the distributor and we header for home. Not know what a vtec car is like i had to play a little. The timing was really weird so the car was running sluggish (computer problem that is getting fixed as we speak). I still got to somewhat see what it felt like. The car wasnt to impressive under 4k but once you got it into vtec the car was fun as heck to drive. Im still a 240 lover but the prelude vtec along with the s2k is now one of my fav cars. Just thought i would let you guys in on my little adventure. hitch a ride in a CRX with any B series swap. You will loose bowel controll if you thought that prelude was cool.

yeah the lude is a pretty fast car, my friend has a SRV, with just an I/H/E and is it pretty quick, and when the vtech hits, it's like a kick in the balls

i don't understand why some guys on this board seem to think that all Honda's are bad, they can be fast!!

I had a friend with a '95 integra gsr before some lady in a rx300 took care of it. He let me drive it a couple of time and all it had was an I/E and some cheap ebay coilovers. I have test driven both the new RSX, and all 3 preludes, and let me say that car was much faster than any of them and could turn like you would not belive. I have never driven another car that will turn in as well as that integra after it was lower. may it RIP. I am planning on doing a real suspension including coilovers and some new wheels and then my S14 should be better but until then...

Anyways I don't hate the Honda's I hate the moron in the Honda with a coffee can attached to an amplifier that thinks he is cool and his civic is the fastest thing on the road so he drives like an a** and talks out his a** and makes the entire import community look bad. Now I am not saying that all Honda owner's are this way or that it is only Honda owns that act this way but it seems to me that they are the ones that I see the most.

i use to own a 97 civic HB, stock with only a intake and exhaust, i was able to beat all the eclispe line up including the GSx, beat neons, and almost all four bangers, the one car i couldn't beat, you guess it folks, the 240sx.

hondas are pretty good, the CTR, ITR, s2000, and NSX are respected in japan so that means that those cars are pretty good to own. Notice i didn't mention prelude since it was made for a sporty look and not really preformance wise like the CTR and ITR.

Yeah the numbers dont add up for me either, awd, turbo should put to shame a stock 240sx let alone a civic. Now I am not calling you a lier but I think the guy you raced if he was racing must have been a lot worse of a driver than you because his car should have handed it to you. Lets look at the stats, 210hp with power to weight ratio at .065 vs 105hp with p/w ratio of .047Plus he is not going to have traction problems due to awd, the math just does not add up.

BS flag on the guy that beat a gsx in his 240 and his buddies civic. My GSX ran 15 flat on a 97 degree day when i missed third. I ran several mostly stock SOHC civics at the track. They are between 16.5 and 17.5 depending on the specific model. And unless you had a full seconds worth of bolt ons on the 240 it didn't hang with a gsx... or a gst for that matter

I used to own a hybrid 2Gen CRX.... now THAT was a fun car. I might wanna get one some day once I am all done with the 240. Honda definately makes a good product.
