So I figured.... hey... i think my injectors need cleaning... anda lot of people(G2IC members) have praised lucas cleaners.. so i said sure why not... well. i added it in a few months ago... tried it out and a week later... my car STOPPED in the middle of going 60 MPH... so i had it towed and whatever.. .it got fixed.. just thought it was a badstroke of luck... so last week.. add it again... this week... my car CANT IDLE... if it idles too long... it DIES... how i dunno....

No joke. that **** SUCKS... it ruined my car TWICE.. and instead of working i gota pay some guy money i dont have to fix it.... lucas SUCKS... do NOT use the product... its horrible.

Anyone else have problems with other products that didnt work? let me know.... so i dont feel left out.

Often when one has injector trouble an good injector cleaner may help, but you always run the risk of making things worse.

carbon may become partially dislodged and block you injectors open or closed.

Have you cahnged your fuel filter after the treatment?

Probbaly not the fault of LUCAS, but a calculated risk we all take.

The best way to go, is to give your gas a detergent additive every other tankful, so things don't get so bad ,in teh first place.

I did change the fuel filter...along with all the fuel lines and even the fuel pump last time i wasin the shop.. i havent been able to get new injectors... and i was thinking the exact same thing you mentioned... i believe it may have dislogged some grime and got the injectors ****ed up.. i thought about that.. but when they were checked... everything was normal... hell... literally the only 2 times ive taken the car into the shop was after the fuel treatments.

Most gasolines have them in at teh pump already, but some are better than others.

It's somethign you can eitehr buy at the autostore (such as Chevron Injector cleaner) and put itno your tank.

I alwasy gas up on hi detergent gas (Chevron) so i only add a bottle with every oil change.

The best detergens additve known to this board is BG44kIt comes in many packages, some for rail flush some as fuell additive.

The cative ingredient in Chevron Techron is the "BG44k" chemical.Expept its at nearly 100% in a bottle of BG44k and a 2 or 5 % (forget which) in a bottle of Chevron techron.

As you can imagine its very strong, best add to a full tank. It's also vey difficult to get.The company doesnt bother with the retail market so you will find it most often at quality repair shops.

Many (but not nearly all) Infinti dealers also carry it and use it during their periodic services.many some Nissan dealers too, never checked yet.

If your drivin around... and your at a light... its a hot day too(fl)... then when your idling. just idling not pressing the gas... the car just.. putters and dies off...then it takes a few cranks to turn it on... then if it idles again for too long... it dies... fuel pump is new... any ideas here =0( im outta ideas.
