i have an opportunity to buy a rear end that i need out of a non running 1995 240 sx se how can i determine if it is limited slip

well you need to pull it and open it.

if it is still in the car jack up the rear end and spin one wheel if the oppiste wheel spins the same direction its a lsd

Most people don't clean the underside of the car to well....So there might still be the factory, orange LSD sticker on it.
