I was wondering if there are any special tags or markings on an S13 rear diff. housing to be able to tell if its equiped with LSD. If there are, what are they?

i have a question about lsds, what is the difference between one way, two way, mechancal, viscous lsds ? which one is better? im planning to get one for my 98 to support @650hp once my sr/rb motor is fully built, still debating on which motor to get, money will not be the issue in 6 months. Which lsd would better support this kind of power? and which lsd is better? Quaife? kaaz? Nismo? thank you

You should look around a salvage yard. I found one out of a 95 J30 for 300 bucks. 300 z non turbo has a nice gear in it but you will need new yokes. The J30 has the right yokes.

the 95 J30 has a 3.917 ratio, which would be better for lots of horsepower. If you are making big big horsepower you should try a Quaife. They are about the best. That or a Kaaz. But if you get a a 1.5way or 2 way or something, you are gonna have to adjust it yourself. Shouldn't be too bad though.

Hi guys, I was sent this differential instead of the one I ordered. It is a LSD and I have been told that it will fit any year 240sx, or an Infiniti J30. I need to get rid of it if anyone wants to make me a offer.
