Whats up guys. I got a 92 s13 coupe. I bought a Hicas LSD. 1 person says it just bolts right in. The others say I have to change the out put shaft. Someone let me know. By the way I have no ABS or hicas of course.

SSSSssssssseeeeaaarrccchhhhhhhh!!!! Dammit!

But to answer your question:

HICAS VLSD bolts right into ANY S13.

More info:

To bolt it into an S14, you have to change the rear cover.

HICAS VLSD has the same 6-bolt output shafts as the stock axles.

as long as you have the output shafts from the HICAS unit, you'll be fine. The Open diff and V LSD outputs are different lengths internally, but use the same flange, so your axles will bolt to the V LSD outputs.

One thing of note is that you will need a new driveshaft. The HICAS unit has ABS, and the pumpkin is an inch longer than the non-ABS pumpkin. You'll need the shorter ABS driveshaft to accomodate for that.

although it is advisable to change the driveshafts Ive been told you can get away with using the original driveshaft even though it is a tight fit
